This is a system called “5 Fold Marketing” that focuses on how you can make the most of your marketing efforts. Let’s say that you want to get more traffic to your website. You send out a bunch of emails to your friends and family via email.
Now your friends and family are all excited that you found a great way to get more traffic to your website. They think your email is awesome and that you should share it with all of your friends! So you send out more emails and more messages. People write you back to tell you that they love the emails and that they really appreciate how they helped you. You send them more emails and more messages. Then, when theres no traffic, you call it a day.
No, no. The real problem with email marketing (and with most marketing) is that the only thing your friends are really interested in is your name. They didn’t even want to email you because they didn’t think it was interesting. The real problem is that they didn’t even want to email you because they thought you were boring.
Its like how when people are talking about a company they have an interest in, they try to talk about their own lives, their jobs, their hobbies, and the things they do for fun. You can do the same thing. But since people typically only read your emails if they want to know that you’re reading them, you have to be more specific.
This is where it gets difficult.
5 fold marketing is a tactic that most marketers use, and I dont really think it is much different than email marketing. It means sending out more than just one email. It means providing more than just a generic, boring link. It means you give them something interesting that you actually care about.
Marketing is an all-or-nothing activity. So if you have a niche that is so valuable that it is worth sending out an email to your prospects, sending an email to your prospects, and then having them click through, this is the best tactic. Email marketing is about sending information with a very clear target audience, so you can send an email to someone who wants to know about something related to your product. 5 fold marketing is about sending to a very specific person.
