We’ve had a few of the sales and marketing jobs that he’s been trying to secure. When we were talking about it, he said that “what we’re doing right now is not the same as what we used to do.” That’s because, while he isn’t selling anything, he’s also not doing marketing.
Its no secret that many people who work in sales and marketing are paid on commission. But because they are not selling, they have to be paid on commissions. Thus, the people who are selling things are not the ones who get paid on the commissions. So if a company has not paid them on the commissions, then they can say that they have not sold anything and the people who are doing their job arent the ones who get paid on the commissions.
