I get asked a lot about the process of launching a business and what it takes to make it successful. Here is a quick and very honest answer.
It’s not just about what you sell. It’s about what customers want. If you are selling something, you have to know what people want before you can really sell them what you’re selling. If you can’t really sell people what they want, you might as well just charge them for a phone call.
For the company that does both, that doesn’t mean I’m not very curious about what people might want. I’m curious about what makes people want what they want, and what makes them happy. That might sound strange, but it’s really simple and really important.
One of the most important things that I have learned from reading business books is that if you can’t put a positive spin on what you’re doing, then you are doing it wrong. If you have a service, a product, a business, whatever it is, you have to be able to sell it to people in a way that people will find it valuable. You have to give them a reason to want to pay you for it.
That is the same way that marketers do business. If you have a service or product, you make sure that people will want to pay you, or they will find a way to pay you for it. For example, I have a product that I sell through a website called “The Business Plan Tool”. It is a marketing tool that I created for myself, and the only reason that I created it was because I wanted to be able to sell it.
My website has been a successful business for me so far. It just soaks up a ton of traffic, and I’ve gotten a lot of comments from people that have been impressed by it. People come to it because they think it will make them more money or have a better way to organize their finances. You may be surprised to find that people will find value in your product or service.
I know I was. When I was first doing it, I didn’t know that I was doing it. It was a project for my group of friends, and they made a ton of money selling it at an auction for a small fee. I still don’t use that very often though. It’s sort of like a bad investment. The money is good, but I’m better off just not knowing it was ever there.
My friend and I used to make money selling things and we always had our own website, but the whole business model was to sell your own products or sell your own services and then you would build a business around that. It always seemed a little bit crazy to me, but we always made enough money to pay back the loan. It was fun, and it was always like a game. But it never occurred to me that I ever needed, or wanted, to actually make money from it.
I’m not saying that you should quit your day job to pursue your dream of selling online. But if you are making that dream a reality and you do it because of the extra money you’re making from selling your own products, at least be prepared to pay some taxes. A lot. I’m not saying don’t have your own website, but as a business that is self-monetizing, it’s always good to have a website. In fact, I’d call it a necessity.
I can’t speak to self-monetizing, but I can say that it is not a great idea to sell your products on your own website. It is a great idea to have a website that sells your products as a direct mail to your mailing list.
