It’s important to eat a healthy diet, but with so many conflicting opinions out there about what is good for you and what isn’t, it can be difficult to know who or what to believe. What shouldn’t we eat?

Junk food such as potato chips, packaged snacks and other processed foods high in sugar or artificial sweeteners. These should be replaced with healthier alternatives like fruit with natural peanut butter if possible.

Healthy food can include vegetables, fish with omega-three fatty acids like salmon; low-fat dairy products like skim milk or yogurt plus calcium supplements if needed by adults who don’t eat much cheese at all. 

It also includes lean meats like chicken breast without skinless boneless turkey breasts or cuts of beef without the extra fats on them from ground meat products that come mostly from beef chuck, round steak, or beef tenderloin. Healthy eating also includes drinking plenty of water to remain hydrated and refrain from consuming too much alcohol.
