The world is full of interesting stories. Some are funny, others make us cry and some just make us shake our heads in disbelief. I’ve gathered a few for you here that may change your perspective on life or at least give you something to smile about.

I love to tell stories. It’s a challenge for me to tell them in a way that keeps the reader interested and entertained. Pyvows is having some more interesting stories, Check Out!

There are many interesting stories that often go unnoticed. Like the one where a guy falls asleep in his car and wakes up to find himself driving 2 miles away from where he originally parked it.  Or the story of an old man who was found dead after being squished by a vending machine while trying to free some money out of it.

“Chortle” is a combination of the words “chuckle and snort. It’s not often that you hear someone say “chortle.” In fact, if I had to guess, I would say that it doesn’t happen more than once every two hours on average. It seems like this word has been lost in translation from one generation to another. If there is any hope for chortles being heard around the world again, we must start with ourselves! 

The word “chortle” is a combination of the words chuckle and snort. When you chortle, you let out a hearty laugh or chuckles that are short-lived because they are interrupted by an abrupt sound like a snorter. In 1887, Thomas Edison invented the first motion picture camera. The machine was called a kinetograph and it captured about 12 frames per second. These images were later played in sequence to show movement (this is also known as a movie). This invention changed how we perceive film because of its ability to capture moments that are impossible for our eyes to see with just one still image. 

A year after the invention of the kinetograph, Edison patented his Kinetoscope which allowed people watch movies from their own private box. In 1893, he created another prototype which became the basis for movie theaters today.

The world’s oldest living organism is a bristlecone pine tree in California. The tree, which lives near the White Mountains of California has been alive for over 5,000 years and was recently confirmed as the world’s oldest living organism by experts from Great Basin Bristlecone Pine Tree Field Station.  It is unclear how this particular tree managed to survive so long without water or food but scientists are currently trying to find clues about its survival.

It is not a stretch to say that the world has changed dramatically in the last few generations. There are more people alive today than have ever existed before, and many more are born every day. With this rapid growth comes many challenges. The future is uncertain, but one thing is certain: there’s no better time than now to get started on a plan for change. 

The population of the world is exploding and it’s never been easier to find out how many people are alive. There has never been this many people on earth before in human history, but there’s no need to be alarmed.

A group of cats is called a clowder or pounce if they live together closely. They are also known as a mischief, company, herd, pack or ursine family. Cats use these words to describe themselves and their families in the animal kingdom when describing the close bonds they have with one another. Clowders and pounces can be found all over the world living in groups that range from two to forty-two members strong!

The word “clowder” comes from the old English word “clod” meaning lump or mass. A “pounce” comes from the Old French word “pourchasser” which means to chase down prey in order to catch it. So these two words describe what cats do best!
