Every so often, I post a new recipe or tip on our blog, in hopes that people will take notice. One of the best things that you can do is to make it part of your daily routine. Your marketing is in your home.
This is the great thing about a blog. You don’t have to pay someone to promote it, just as you don’t have to pay someone to promote your book or business. Just as you don’t have to pay someone to promote your game or app. So in that sense, it’s no different than a website, especially if you don’t have a website, but a lot more cost effective.
Well yeah, and a lot more fun too. The great thing about marketing something is that you dont have to do it all by yourself. You dont have to make it complicated or complicated, its just something you have to do every day. You dont have to be a social media guru. You dont have to think about how to get the word out. Just something you would like to do every day, like you do your blog.
My mom (not me) hates marketing, so I think it is a lot of fun. However, while I think it is a lot of fun, I also think it is a lot of work. Its like having a big, shiny toy that you have to keep up with every day you want to use it. Its like the difference between your morning routine and your night routine. Its like having a new car but you have to get it serviced every week.
It is a lot of work because you have to do a lot of things that you probably don’t want to do. First of all, you have to build up the word about your product or service. This is like getting a bunch of people to write about the brand you are building, which is a lot of work. You have to make sure people know you exist. Then, you have to get them hooked on the product. This is almost like finding a new love.
We are all busy people and our day to day lives can be like a busy market. If you have the right message, people are likely to click on your link, or it can be as easy as just sharing an article on facebook or twitter. It seems as though marketers are using this same “lazy, passive” approach to marketing. Just because you are creating a new piece of content doesn’t mean you have to force people to click on your link.
I think there are two ways that marketers are engaging the link bait method of marketing. The first is to direct people to an article on your own website on your own website, just like we were told the trailer showed. The second is to post your own link on twitter or facebook or any other social media platform, and you get people to click on your link. This is known as a “leveraging” type of marketing.
To be clear, leveraging is not the same as link bait in this context. Leveraging means you are linking to your own site in a way that makes your own site the most prominent link for people to click on, but not for them to want to link back to your site. The most common types of leveraging are blog posts and videos. Blog posts might be linked to from another blog post or on your own website, or they might just be a direct link on some other site.
Most people tend to click on links that take them to blogs. This is because we are all bloggers at heart, and therefore naturally want to share our thoughts on the blog with our readers. Blogs are the easiest way to leverage a link, but you can also make a video that makes your own site the point of a link. This is a good tactic if you have a good looking video that you can show to people, but not too many people.
People tend to click on links from blogs because they’re looking for more information. You can make your own site the point of a link and make a few blog posts that are all links and no actual content. This is great if you have a really cool site, but not so great if you have a blog.
