I had decided to take public transportation because the conference was close by and also because it was free of charge and there were no parking fees. All of my friends were going to be attending this conference as well so we were all meeting up at the same location and everyone could ride on the same bus/train as far as I knew.

1. Don’t forget to bring your thinking cap.
One of the most important things to remember is to bring your thinking cap. It helps in case you need to think about something but have a blank mind. I am usually a very casual person and I normally wear whatever my favorite jeans, tee shirt, and a pair of cowboy boots are. This is important because you might be there for a long period of time and it will get boring if you don’t eat something to keep your energy up. Bringing snacks is also recommended because depending on what type of lecture conference it may be, you might be able to get some food while there. Either way, bring something you can split up with your friends as well as something that would be easily portable and easy to eat in case you’re feeling hungry or thirsty at any given time during the lecture conference
7. Don’t forget to bring a pen and paper.
Again, make sure that you have a pen and paper in case you need to write down anything. Some may ask for them, some may not as I found out but it’s always good to have just in case. This is what I did prior to going to the lecture conference:
Bringing snacks, pens, paper and a thinking cap were the most important things that I brought because these were what would be useful for me at the lecture conference I was attending today. Before going, I also brought a couple of pens, one super pink and another red ink type pen. This was because I thought my super pink might get messed up with someone else’s pen and the other pen was just something to write down the lecture conference information in case I needed it.
