One of the authors of The Ancient Philosophy states that self-knowledge comes through “the investigation of oneself by reason,” which is why the last line of his definition says, “and knowledge.” Self-knowledge allows you to recognize yourself accurately and learn from your mistakes.
It is not enough to simply love yourself; you must also accept yourself as you are.
